Adah Shumway
Born in rural Vermont, Adah spent many hours playing in the woods and fields, thereby developing a love of the environment. Fibers have provided a medium for her to artistically explore the beauty of nature. With that as a context, her current work deals with bringing the details of our organic surrounding into a format where they can be more fully appreciated. Adah has recently shown her work at the South End Open Studios in Boston, MA and at ARTWORKS! in New Bedford, MA. Adah Shumway received a BFA in fibers from MassArt in 2003.
